Bound

Kanon Produksjon returns to Kristiansand in September, and this time brings a Norwegian premiere. The production is a co-production with Teater Origo, in collaboration with the British theater company Bear Trap, led by stagewriter Jesse Briton. Jon Erik has translated the script of BOUND into Norwegian OMBORD, and adapted the story to match Norwegian fishing history. The original production toured the UK for two years, and has won awards at several festivals there, as well as a Critics Choice Award under L.A. Fringe in the United States.
BOUND is a bleached tragedy of maritime decline. The show follows six fishermen as they embark on a dangerous but crucial voyage. The crew defies storms, risks their friendship, and the close relationships on land. Under the threat of bankruptcy, they are forced out to sea in the aging fishing trawler Fiolen to try to save what they all hold so dear.

The performance premieres at Aladdin Scene in Kongens gate, Kristiansand, on 5th of September, and continues on 6th, 11th, 12th and 13th of September.
