Sing-along in the woods with StrømmeTeateret

With a guitar on the back, a thermos and a snack in the backpack, StrømmeTeateret (Streaming Theatre) sets out on a small trip to the forest on Monday, June 1st! Jon Erik will join the group from StrømmeTeateret to play guitar alongside the talented and energetic quartet. There will be well-known and beloved children’s songs, some newer songs you are sure to know, and some of StrømmeTeaterets original songs. The singing session takes place in the woods by Isvannet in Oslo, and will be sent out at 10:00 on StrømmeTeateret’s Facebook page!

StrømmeTeateret creates theatre and performing arts for children who, for various reasons, can’t experience it with or like other audience members. The performances are therefore streamed live! In this way they reach out to the children where they are.
The company came into being as a direct consequence of the corona epidemic that hit Norway in March 2020. In the period just after the eruption, an entire industry turned upside down, and was challenged to come up with new ways to reach their audience. While the doors to theatre and concert venues were closed, live streaming windows opened on the internet. Practitioners began streamlining their projects as a way of contributing to the common cause, while at the same time creating work in a new and creative way. With closed schools, kindergartens and leisure activities, Strømmeteateret wanted to create something special for the children.
