Another tour on the waves

In June and July, the S/S Hestmanden will once again set sail, this time westward to Rogaland. The lucky ship will make stops in Stavanger, Sandnes, and Skudeneshavn. New this year is Ronnie Mega Herdlevær, who will join the cast in the role of Oskar.

About the Story:
World War II is in full swing. The Norwegian merchant fleet becomes a pawn in a total war, and Norwegian seamen suddenly find themselves in the heat of battle, whether they wish it or not. Our story begins when news reaches the crew that the Germans have occupied Norway. We follow the characters Ingvald and Oskar, two brothers-in-law working aboard the S/S Hestmanden. Their journey, the situations the ship and its crew find themselves in, and the brothers-in-law’s return home are presented through encounters between them, literally between battles.

Jon Erik is both an actor and the composer for the production, and he co-wrote the script with André Lassemo, who originally plays the role of Oskar. The performance is directed by Åsmund-Brede Eike.
