n December, Jon Erik will travel to London to participate as pianist and vocalist in the concert A Nordic Christmas, alongside Martine Berg (vocals) and Arthur Boan (vocals and violin). The concert will take place on December 9 at the historic Heath Street Baptist Church in Hampstead, built in 1861, a church known for its intimate and atmospheric concerts. The evening will offer a mix of Norwegian folk music, traditional Nordic Christmas songs, and some modern interpretations – a true Nordic Christmas experience in the heart of London.
Jon Erik and Martine know each other well after several seasons together at Kristiansand Zoo. They have also previously shared the stage in Gal, eller bare musikal? in 2015, a concert that took the audience on a journey through highlights from Broadway and the West End. The concert was well received in Martine’s hometown of Porsgrunn, offering audiences both well-loved and familiar musical numbers in a humorous and personal setting.
With A Nordic Christmas, Jon Erik, Martine, and Arthur aim to bring a touch of Nordic Christmas tradition to London and look forward to giving the audience a warm and unique experience with both well-known and more rare musical gems from the Nordic countries.
