The Headless Soprano

It is April 1940. The German Kriegsmarine is preparing its ships for something significant. Europe is on edge, wondering where this fleet will set its course. In Norway, however, there are inquiries about reducing the guard for the sake of agriculture. At a coastal fortress somewhere in Norway, we meet an undermanned B-team of Norwegian security.

Jon Erik has started writing a new text in collaboration with Stine Sandnes, known for her work on projects like Mannemonologene, Kvinnemonologoene, and Flyktningmonologene, to craft a compelling new stage narrative.

Bjørneboet

In November, Kanon Produksjon was awarded a micro-residence, called Bjørneboet, which will take place in Kristiansand in week 50. Here, research and writing will be done on Kanon Produksjon’s first original theatre script, with the working title «Det heldige skipet», which translates to «The Lucky Ship».

Bound

Kanon Produksjon returns to Kristiansand in September, and this time brings a Norwegian premiere. The production is a co-production with Teater Origo, in collaboration with the British theater company Bear Trap, led by stagewriter Jesse Briton.

23th-25th of July Jon Erik, alongside Ina Maria Brekke, will be showing DET SKREIK EN FUGL… at Bankkjelleren in Kristiansand. Based on the authorship of the local poet Vilhelm Krag, a new performance is put together, as well as several new songs folk songs.
